What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Analyst position at Telnet?
- Consistently meet standards of production and quality in the completion of assigned tasks.
- Processing and accounting for accounts payable transactions.
- Coding and calculations related to accounting transactions.
- Reviews and determines accuracy of source data, account balances, calculations, postings, etc; investigates and reconciles any discrepancies.
- Analyze compiled data and recommends appropriate actions.
- Ensure that all processes are in accordance with Sox
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence and to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and employees of the organization.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to prioritize and possess strong organizational skills.
- Maintain a high degree of professionalism, discipline and enjoy the competitive spirit of adventure.
- Bachelor’s or associate Degree (or degree in progress) in accounting or related field is preferred; and two plus years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of Escheatment/Unclaimed Property. This position will be reconciling the Escheatment account and processing monthly escheatment tasks.
