This position will be based in our HQ located in Ashburn, VA.
We are seeking a Jr. Staff Accountant to join our Accounts Payable Team. The ideal candidate will be a great team player, manage their time well & has exceptional attention to detail. This position will report to the Accounts Payable Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and code a high volume of invoices with accuracy
- Review and process employee expense reports
- Reconcile monthly vendor statements and work to resolve outstanding issues
- Work closely with internal departments and maintain good working relationships
- Assist in month-end close processes
- Assist with audit requests and walkthroughs as needed
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years or more of Accounts Payable experience
- Minimum education: High school diploma or GED
- Great team player with excellent communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Intermediate working knowledge of Costpoint is preferred
- Experience with 2- and 3-way PO matching principles
- Beginner to Intermediate proficiency of the AP, AR and GL processes
- Ability to work independently without much supervision
- Comfortable working with and having direct accessibility to Senior Finance leadership - Controller, CFO etc.
