Our Team And What We'll Accomplish Together

Join our innovative Production team at the forefront of cattle and feedlot innovation! We are passionate about improving the lives of cattle by enhancing animal welfare, advancing feedlot systems, and driving data-driven decisions in the livestock industry. As a Field Specialist, you will play an important role in connecting on-site operations with expert consultancy. You will also contribute to ensuring animal health, optimizing productivity, and driving sustainable practices in agriculture through a combination of hands-on field work and analytical support.

What You'll Do

• Assist nutritionists with providing support to clients and monitoring execution of recommended protocols
• Conduct regular on-site visits to support feeding initiatives and management strategies
• Collect, process, and analyze biological samples, feed data, and provide analytical support relative to performance enhancement product protocols
• Utilize specialized agricultural software for data entry, analysis, and client reporting (MS Office Excel, Tableau, and Snowflake)
• Assist the Individual Animal Management, Animal Health, Feeds & Feeding, Production and Research teams
• Collaborate with veterinarians, nutritionists, and other team members on cross-functional projects
• Conduct digital necropsies and assist in clinical procedures at client feedlot sites using advanced technology
• Deliver on-site training to clients and their staff on system implementation, data collection protocols, and technology utilization to ensure optimal adoption and value from our services
• Provide first-level troubleshooting support for software applications and data collection systems, escalating complex technical issues to appropriate support teams
• Adapt to a dynamic work environment with diverse responsibilities
  
  

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in animal science, agricultural science, or a related field
• Valid driver's license and comfort with regular travel to client sites
• Strong proficiency in Windows-based software and agricultural data management systems
• Solid understanding of the agriculture industry, particularly in cattle management and nutrition
• Physical capability to work in various weather conditions and handle equipment up to 50 lbs
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations
• Strong independent work ethic balanced with collaborative teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work in various agricultural environments and adapt to changing conditions
  
  

Great to Have

• Experience working with cattle or other livestock in a professional capacity
• Background or certifications in animal nutrition, animal health, or feedlot production
• Advanced degrees in animal science, agricultural science, veterinary science or a related field is an asset
• Knowledge of advanced agricultural technologies and data analytics platforms
• Practical experience in on-farm consultation or management
• Familiarity with current research in ruminant nutrition and its practical applications
