Summary:
Prepare accurate, competitive estimates for complex low voltage cabling projects (commercial/residential), analyzing plans, determining costs, and collaborating with teams to ensure projects are on budget and meet specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimate Preparation:
- Manage bid calendar, review requests, and create detailed estimates.
- Perform take-offs, obtain material/subcontractor pricing, and analyze costs (material, labor, overhead).
- Utilize estimation software and spreadsheets to generate accurate cost analyses.
- Maintain resource databases for vendors and products.
Project Collaboration:
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors.
- Attend meetings and communicate project updates.
- Review construction documents and ensure project scope accuracy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED; related college degree preferred.
- 5 years of low voltage cabling estimation experience.
- Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of low voltage systems and installation.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- BICSI RCDD certification desired.
Work Environment:
- Office environment with occasional site visits.
- Full-time, Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4:30pm, with potential overtime on evenings and weekends, as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs.
Salary : $65,000 - $80,000
