Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Quality Control Inspector with experience operating Zeiss Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and proficiency in floor inspection using common hand tools in a machine shop environment. The ideal candidate will ensure that all parts meet stringent quality standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections of machined components using Zeiss CMM to verify dimensional accuracy.
- Conduct floor inspections utilizing hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and dial indicators.
- Interpret and analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) requirements.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records in compliance with quality control processes.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Perform first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final inspections.
- Ensure compliance with ISO and other quality management standards.
- Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Quality Control Inspector in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with Zeiss CMM, including software such as Calypso.
- Strong understanding of GD&T and ability to interpret complex technical drawings.
- Skilled in using hand inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
