Qualifications
Ideal candidates for the AV Install Manager position should possess the following skills, traits, and certifications:
- Has five or more years of experience in the AV industry
- Familiar with the products and technologies used in the AV industry including digital switching systems, audio & video conferencing, video wall technologies, display and projection systems, audio DSP technology, and commercial audio systems.
- Demonstrates a good understanding of how to route and secure structured cabling
- Ability to setup and deploy configurations and site files
- Able to think on your feet and present possible solutions to challenges in the field
- Puts safety, quality and the customer above all else
- Has strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Can read and understand engineered drawings including floor plans, elevations, and schematics
- Comfortable with Microsoft Windows and Office
- Experience with testing and commissioning of systems
- Networking experience
- Experience leading teams and mentoring
- Have WA06 license
Responsibilities
As an integral part of our team you will be responsible for:
- Coordinate with clients to get tasks done effectively and on-time
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
- Test and troubleshoot systems
- Mentor technical staff
- Monitor the quality of work onsite, verify standards are being met
- Identify areas of risk and mitigate as needed
- Engage in performance reviews for technicians
- Track hours work on and off job sites
- Review and approve timecards for technicians
- Review and approve expenses
- System demonstration and training of clients
- Some travel and off-hours work will be required
- Track the installation schedule and coordinate manpower to ensure proper staffing levels for projects. This includes interfacing with local subcontractors and working with the Operations Manager
- There will be occasions when the Installation Manager will need to act as a Lead Installation Technician. The job description for that position applies in those cases
