Overview:
Temple Beth Ahm, a conservative Jewish congregation in Aberdeen, NJ, is seeking a full-time Temple Administrator to serve as a key partner with volunteer leadership and clergy, and as a leader of our staff. We are looking for an organized, engaging, welcoming, intelligent, and inspiring professional who enjoys active Jewish living, thinks strategically, and seeks consensus and inclusion among diverse individuals. The primary responsibilities are focused on operations and membership in-reach and outreach.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute communications and marketing efforts to build awareness of programs and maximize attendance/participation.
- Coordinate with the membership chair to attract and retain members and promote Temple Beth Ahm in the community.
- Oversee the new member onboarding process and ensure the membership database is up to date.
- Partner with temple lay leaders and volunteers to plan and manage fundraising efforts to achieve/exceed goals.
- Plan and manage High Holy Days activities, including ticket processes and facility setup.
- Oversee office operations, finance processes, building maintenance, security, and liaison with renters.
- Work closely with the Director of Education to ensure effective operations and communication.
- Attend and support occasional services, Shabbat programs, and major holidays.
- Participate in select Executive Board and committee meetings as requested.

Details:
- Reports to: Rabbi and Executive Secretary; works collaboratively with President
- Coordinates with: Director of Education, Preschool Director, Special Events Coordinator, volunteer leadership
- Supervises: Administrative Staff (e.g., administrative assistant, bookkeeper, custodial staff, etc.)
- Job Type: Full-time (includes some Friday evenings and some Saturday mornings)
- Benefits: Paid vacation time (PTO), time off for many secular and some Jewish holidays, health benefits not included
