What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager - Clinical and Translational Research position at Temple Health – Temple University Health System?
The Project Manager, Clinical and Translational Research (PMCTR) will work closely with the multidisciplinary clinical and research team to help manage and promote multiple projects focused on forwarding our mission of conducting high quality clinical research and grant/philanthropy funded translational research. The PMCTR will facilitate collaboration by organizing standing meetings focused on scientific strategy for the disease site service line, as well as focused meetings with key stakeholders to review project progress, identify and overcome barriers and implement next steps to achieve results. This role is an integral part of the multidisciplinary research team and as such will serve as a liaison between clinical investigators and basic scientists to facilitate the development of translational research projects. Supports the faculty within the Research Group in the submission of grant applications, letters of intent and the successful conduct of supported translational research projects. Administratively, the position will report to the Deputy Director of the Cancer Center, with matrixed responsibilities to the Faculty Director of Clinical and Translational Research within the disease site service line. Examples of disease site service lines include GI Cancer, Thoracic Cancer, Breast Cancer etc.
Education
Masters degree : Biomedical sciences, clinical research or related field (Required)
Doctorate degree : PhD in biomedical sciences (Preferred)
Experience
5 Years experience in biologic or clinical research (Required)
General Experience In Collaborative Research Including Multi-investigator Grants/projects (Required)
