JOB OVERVIEW
The IT Project Manager is responsible for overseeing client implementations of Atorus' statistical computing environment (SCE) projects, ranging from creation of project plans, managing client relationships, project milestones, and project budgets. These responsibilities are done in accordance with Atorus and / or sponsor standard operating procedures (SOPs), Good Clinical Practice (GCP), ICH Guidelines and sponsor requirements. The IT Project Manager will possess the experience to lead our multi-functional teams to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery of SCE projects for our clients.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan internal or client-facing IT infrastructure / services projects including creation of project plans
Builds a strong relationship with the business owner and key stakeholders of the project, ensures that the project is aligned with customer expectations, and facilitates project decision making
Manage assigned projects from original concept through final implementation and completion of tasks and deliverables. Projects may include infrastructure implementations, onboarding of customers and new IT services
Ensure project objectives / requirements are clear and agreed to by all stakeholders
Utilize PM tools to ensure key project documentation is prepared throughout the project lifecycle (charter, design input / output form, financial templates, etc.)
Applies proper IT processes and methods (e.g., SDLC) and application, technical, development, and architecture policies and standards in the completion of project work.
Manage relationships with various IT and business stakeholder to achieve project
objectives
Plan, baseline, and control costs to ensure projects are completed within approved
budget
Manage project priorities and ensure adherence to the agreed scope
Monitor, document, and gain approval for changes to schedule, cost, or project scope
Apply systematic quality activities to ensure that projects employ all
processes needed to meet Computer System Validation directives
Monitor project progress using PMI-based approach including issue, risk and change management
Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including clients, computer services, and client services
Report project status to internal and client teams and management
Coordinate and work closely with business teams (either projects or maintenance teams) to collect the business requirements, define the solution (functionally and technically)
Provide work direction and guidance to all team members and assist them in issue resolution
Manage budget and scope throughout the entire project
Ensure projects are closed successfully
Complete and provide project documentation
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
University / college bachelor's degree or equivalent experience within science or Information Technology required.
Minimum 3 years in a project management or similar role leading multifunctional teams in a clinical trial / research, data management / EDC and / or software technology development disciplines. Server and network exposure, knowledge or background is desirable
Minimum 1 years of MS Project experience in a project management role within an information technology industry or clinical research industry
Minimum 1 year of assisting IT Infrastructure project experience - server and network implementations is desirable
Project Management Institute (PMI), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMP certification or other IT industry project management certification is desirable
Familiarity with project management standards and methodologies including experience in using a formal Solutions Delivery Life Cycle / Methodology, PMI Body of Knowledge, Waterfall and Agile
Working knowledge of MS Office suite and project management tools (i.e., Asana)
