What are the responsibilities and job description for the SR EKG TECHNICIAN POOL (Temple University Hospital) position at Temple Health?
Performs resting electrocardiograms (EKGs) and places electrodes for holter and stress EKGs as assigned. Assists with the performance of holter and stress EKGs studies, which includes prepping and interviewing patients. Processes EKGs for interpretation. Monitors patients while they are undergoing tests. Processes various types of EKG data for physician interpretation.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
Other : Completion of Electrocardiography Training program. (Required)
Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience
General Experience in EKG, Stress and Holter studies (Preferred)
License / Certifications
BLS - Basic Life Support (Preferred)
