Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pipelayer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of pipelines, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. This position requires a strong understanding of various construction techniques and the ability to operate heavy equipment effectively.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain pipelines for water, sewage, and other utilities.
- Utilize tools such as pipe lasers and backhoes to ensure accurate placement of pipes.
- Perform excavation tasks, digging trenches as needed for pipeline installation.
- Operate heavy equipment including bulldozers and other machinery safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within specifications.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Troubleshoot issues that arise during installation or maintenance processes.
Experience
- Proven experience in pipelaying or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is preferred but not required, including backhoe operation and bulldoze skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand project specifications is beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are critical for success in this role.
