Opening for a Boiler Operator to work for a well-established production facility in Washburn. Employees must have good communication skills and will be expected to adhere to strict job site safety requirements. Applicants should have working knowledge of how to operate boiler systems safely and efficiently. Two or more years of experience working in a food production or manufacturing setting strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and operate boiler controls, including those that manage compressed air systems and fire systems.
- Check incoming water for quality and ensure that tanks are filled appropriately.
- Perform routine operation checks, cleaning, and maintenance boilers in assigned work area.
- Participate in all HazMat, Confined Space and LOTO trainings.
- Adhere to all safety requirements as directed and participate in the company’s Emergency Response Team program.
- Complete security checks of all doors each shift.
- Report potential hazards and/or equipment failures to plant management.
Job Requirements:
- Boiler Operator’s license valid in State of Maine; preferred 4th class SSE. High Pressure license will also be considered.
- 2 to 3 years’ of experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment.
- Good written and verbal communication; must be able to maintain accurate records of operations and maintenance.
- Good understanding of common workplace safety practices.
- Ability to work from ladders/heights.
Schedule: Full-Time/Nights: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00/hr. with benefits; health/dental/vision insurance, PTO, and retirement.
