Seasonal Park Assistant
Job description
Parks is partnering with a temporary agency to hire a Park Assistant at Jessica Hollis Park. Qualified candidates will have a passion for providing park guests with high-quality service during their visits to Jessica Hollis Park, located in Lakeway! This position will engage with park guests to provide a seamless, enjoyable stay from arrival to departure, as guests participate in swimming, picnicking, kayaking, canoeing, and more! The position will be responsible for guest relations, daily financial reporting, park cleanliness, and any other duties related to the park.
Hours:
Up to 20 hours per week as a part-time temporary worker on Saturdays and Sundays & holidays.
Must be available weekends, 8-10 hours/day, daytime shift times may vary between 8 AM and 8 PM.
Location: Jessica Hollis Park and Mansfield Annex
Date range: March 2025 through September 30, 2025 with the possibility of extension. No housing provided.
Essential Functions:
Customer Service: Assist in greeting customers upon arrival, checking guests in for reservations, processing reservation on site, etc. Provide information on park rules and regulations, pricing, third-party activities, and more. Responsible for other customer-related duties and/or administrative duties as assigned.
Operations: Support other Park-related duties such as maintaining park cleanliness by emptying trash cans, picking up trashing, cleaning restroom, public park facilities, etc.
Minimum Requirements:
Have a passion for sharing the outdoors with guests. Experience in customer service or people-oriented industry. Must be an enthusiastic self-starter who enjoys working in the outdoors and with people. Note that this position is mostly outdoors throughout the summer months. Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work. Employment contingent upon negative results of criminal background check.
