Telehealth Sample Collector (candidates are needed in the Trenton, NJ 08610 and Philadelphia, PA 19133 areas)
Position Summary : The Collector will visit nursing homes and assisted living facilities to assist with the collection of patient samples and telehealth coordination.
The primary responsibilities include verifying insurance eligibility, coordinating telehealth appointments with physicians, and occasionally collecting nasal swabs if necessary.
This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth, efficient process for patient testing.
Duties :
- Verify Insurance : Check patient insurance eligibility upon arrival and ensure all documentation is accurate.
- Coordinate Telehealth : Set up and coordinate telehealth appointments between patients and physicians on-site.
- Assist with Swab Collection : Collect nasal swabs when needed or assist trained personnel with the process.
- Maintain Records : Ensure all demographic, insurance, and test results are properly recorded in the system.
Experience :
- Experience in a healthcare setting or with sample collection is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of insurance verification processes. (training will be provided)
- Ability to interact professionally with patients, healthcare providers, and physicians.
- Comfortable using telehealth platforms (training will be provided).
- Some experience in swab collection is a plus, but not required.
