Summary
Visually inspects mattresses for defects.
Requirements
Uses an air hose to remove dust. Uses scissors to trim excess threads. If mattress does not conform to appropriate standards, sends back to rework area for repairs. If the inspection is being conducted at the end of the matt conveyor, the inspector may also operate the packing machine. This involves feeding the matt/box to the machine and replenishing rolls of plastic. Receives mattress or box spring from inspection. Cuts any loose threads. Attaches warranty card(s), warranty sticker and any other special document according to the SOP. Places plastic boot over end of mattress or box springs as specified. Slides unit onto conveyer that feeds into the packing machine. Responsible for replenishing plastic in packing machine.

Requirements:What You'll Need:
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a standing position for a minimum 8 hours or more per shift.
- Frequent walking, squatting, turning, twisting, pushing, bending, etc. in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment.
- Excellent attendance—must be reliable and punctual.
- Must be willing to work overtime and occasional Saturdays.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
