What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recovery Navigator position at TEN SIXTEEN RECOVERY NETWORK?

We are seeking a Residential Recovery Navigator to help guide clients through their recovery process in a supportive, therapeutic, and structured residential treatment setting.
As a Residential Recovery Navigator, you will be a vital part of a dynamic team, offering clinical, medical, and recovery support services. You will be a hands-on mentor, advocate, and coach to individuals in recovery, helping them to build skills, overcome challenges, and develop a sustainable path toward healing and independence.
What You’ll Do:
Clinical Support:
- Build strong therapeutic relationships with clients and their families.
- Advocate for clients, assisting with problem-solving and creating aftercare plans tailored to individual needs.
- Facilitate core recovery skill-building groups and psychoeducational sessions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance clients’ treatment and recovery progress.
Medical Support:
- Oversee and document clients’ medication self-administration, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
Recovery Support:
- Deliver life skills, recovery skills, and expressive art experiences to help clients grow and heal.
- Support clients in exploring and embracing the 12-step program, including facilitating transportation to 12-step meetings.
- Lead by example, modeling recovery principles in everything you do.
- Coordinate essential residential functions, from meals to housekeeping, and ensure a safe, clean environment for all clients.
Professional and Ethical Practice:
- Uphold the confidentiality and rights of individuals served with compassion and respect.
- Maintain accurate, clinically sound documentation, collaborating with team members and other professionals.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development, participating in clinical supervision and self-reflection.
- Model healthy boundaries and support clients in their recovery journey with patience, empathy, and persistence.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education & Experience:
o Bachelor’s degree in a human service field with 1-2 years of relevant experience, OR
o Associate’s degree in human services with 3-4 years of experience, OR
o High school diploma/GED and 4-5 years of hands-on experience working with individuals who struggle with substance use disorders.
o Active, continuous recovery (2 years) preferred.
o An understanding of a12-step program
- Skills & Abilities:
o Ability to establish trust-based relationships with clients while maintaining professional boundaries.
o Strong problem-solving and clinical judgment.
o Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
o Team player with effective communication skills.
