Tenacious Solutions, LLC is seeking a Solutions Architect to assist a federal client in the DC Metropolitan area. This can be a remote role but must be located in the continental US.
Primary job duties and responsibilities:
- Create standards, use automation when available, document new solutions, and ensure and establish data pipelines.
- Oversee /conduct user acceptance testing and provide initial and refresher training on new capabilities.
- Translate the clients’ business requirements into specific systems, applications, or process designs for very large complex IT solutions and integrating architecture.
- Provide expertise and guidance on architecture designed to address client business problems.
- Analyze and identify all or part of an organization’s existing or new peripheral, network, and telecommunications systems requirements, taking into consideration the special technology needs.
- Establish functional and technical specifications and standards, solve hardware/software interface problems, define input/output parameters, and ensure integration of the system or subsystem via data exchange methodologies.
- Participate in technical exchange and governance meetings used to develop, issue, and monitor the implementation of guidance on systems/architectures.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients on what technologies best meet their business needs.
- Support with management of overall agency IT portfolio including provide recommendations on Target Architecture and selection of new IT into portfolio that is aligned to Target Architecture.
- Analyze client’s business problems and provide recommendations on what technologies and accompanying processes will solve their issue.
- Maintain clients’ database with performance analysis tools.
The ideal candidate will have:
- BS degree information technology, computer science, or a related field, and 12 - 15 years of prior relevant experience or master’s with 10 - 13 years of prior relevant experience.
- Active Secret Clearance or higher required.
- Full understanding of Software Development Life Cycle.
- Hands-on experience developing software solutions using JAVA and/or the .NET environments,
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure SQL Database, Azure DevOps, and Azure Active Directory.
- Proficiency in SQL for database design, querying, and optimization.
- Experience with SQL Server, including performance tuning, indexing, and stored procedures.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 services and integration.
- Ability to understand and design technical solutions
- Working knowledge of existing systems and solutions within federal government departments and agencies.
- Ability to develop project plans and propose project goals, objectives, and tasks to achieve on-time delivery of customer products.
- Experience developing test cases/scenarios, ensuring consistency in project plans and updates, and conduct testing modules as these are developed.
- Demonstrated experience with large-scale software implementation projects.
- Demonstrated passion and ability for software development, coding, and teaching of technology.
- Demonstrated experience using data-visualization software such as Tableau, MS PowerBI, or equivalent tool.
- Passion and enthusiasm for keeping up with the latest software and technology tools and trends.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous project management experience is advantageous.
