We are a family owned and operated full service Pet Care facility and have been in business since 1986. Our facility includes dog training, grooming, and daycare in addition to the boarding services. Tenaker boasts over 23,000 square feet of amenities, making it a dog lover’s paradise. Tenaker is a fully enclosed, climate controlled boarding facility that can house up to 175 dogs and 14 cats at any given time. On average, Tenaker boards more than 22,000 pets annually. Tenaker also furnishes 11,000 square feet of play yards which includes a large heated seasonal pool equipped with its own waterfall, a grass area for dogs to lounge in.
About the Position
We are looking for someone to work as both a Doggy Daycare Attendant and a Kennel Technician. First and foremost, the person we hire MUST LOVE DOGS! We need someone who is punctual, reliable, a quick learner, follows instruction well, is a team player and is upbeat.
Doggy Daycare Attendant position:
- Closely supervising the group of dogs
- Playing and engaging with the group at all times
- Cleaning and maintaining the play yard
- Watching the dogs for signs of aggression
- Evaluating new daycare dogs
- Being on your feet for long periods of time
- Must have a quick reaction time
- Must be fully alert at all times
- Patience
- Being very familiar (names, behaviors etc.) with all our dogs
Kennel Technician position:
- Spraying out and sanitizing kennels
- Drying out the runs using a squeegee
- Cleaning and sanitizing cat cubbies
- Preparing dogs food and feeding them
- Medicating dogs
- Deep cleaning and scrubbing around the facility
- Keeping a close eye on our guests to make sure they are happy and healthy
Weekends and holidays are a MUST. We have a fantastic team environment here, and we are looking for someone to fill the position who can fit in with our goofy, fun loving staff.
The position is definitely hard work (you will get dirty!) and requires someone who is willing to go the extra mile every day to make sure the pups staying with us are happy and extremely well cared for.
