Purchase Manager Responsibilities
- Purchase equipment, services, and materials from approved suppliers and subcontractors in a timely manner, ensuring exceptional customer service levels.
- Optimize the purchasing cycle, maximize quality, minimize costs, and ensure compliance with all specifications.
Market Research and Analysis
Understand the market where operations take place, including the sourcing process and its technicalities.
Assess the market to define the eligible vendor list, which complies with quality and safety policies, and has a strong financial situation.
Purchase the best product or services offering the best value-for-money in the market, by assessing economic and technical information on proposals submitted by each supplier.
Key Performance Indicators
- Provide key data based on numerical analysis for decision-making.
- Ensure fulfillment of Purchase Orders and Contracts and define logistics for products such as maritime, land, or air transportation.
Purchasing Cycle Improvement
Seek improvement by developing new or alternative products or services, and suppliers, maximizing quality and minimizing costs, lead times, and liabilities for Clients.
Safety Parameters
Understand relevant safety parameters associated with each type of purchase and select suitable suppliers accordingly (e.g., Safety indicators, HSE audits results).
Contract Coordination
Coordinate activities needed to place a new Contract with all areas involved within Exiros or Clients' organization, such as Quality, Safety, Normalization, Human Resources, Maintenance, Legal, Compliance, Supply Chain, etc.
Compliance and Standards
Ensure compliance with company policies and management standards.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
