Tenaska is one of the largest privately held companies in the United States, an organization that’s adept in natural gas and power marketing, power management, development and acquisition of generation assets, operation of power plants and more.
Position Summary:
The Origination Intern will support the Origination group.
Essential Job Functions:
- Work with the Origination team on various commercial and analytical support tasks
- Develop an understanding of US Power Markets and power industry fundamentals
- Assist Originators with research associated with prospecting deals in their regions
- Developing and maintaining data on various prospective deals
- Assist with the maintenance of a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
- Work closely with various groups within the organization
- Other projects as assigned
- Reliable, dependable, and predictable in-office attendance is a requirement
Education/Experience/Skills
Basic Requirements:
- Pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree in business, engineering, energy, or technology.
Preferred Requirements:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- An ability to function efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, high energy, team environment, with the highest level of attention and accountability
- Strong computer and analytical skills
- Proficiency with database, spreadsheet, real-time, and internet applications are a must
- Experience with workflow products or Microsoft Suite a plus
