Summary
Provides senior leadership and overall direction for the contractor’s quality, safety and environmental programs; partners with the DPG WDTC Safety Office, WDTC Directorates, and Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs) to ensure cohesiveness with WDTC quality and safety approach; detailed knowledge of desert environment and associated CBRNE test site hazards.
Responsibilities
Coordinating with the DPG Safety Office and TEAM Managers.
Investigating mishaps/accidents when required.
Developing a broad safety education program through use of programs, bulletins, posters, lectures, and films.
Coordinating safety indoctrination training for all new employees.
Coordinating with supervisory personnel to develop safety documentation covering specific work areas or tasks.
Incorporating special safety requirements to ensure safety when performing special or unusual tasks.
Preparing and distributing of all necessary reports for accidents/incidents that involve personnel, vehicles, government equipment, or Government facilities.
Ensures environmental compliance.
Qualifications
Must have a Baccalaureate with at least five (5) years of experience as a Quality Manager on a Government contract; or equivalent years of experience with direct government or contractor supporting government contracts.
Must have experience in government contracts to include general contract quality management experience in safety, training and property management and general contract quality management.
Terms of Employment and Eligibility Requirements
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical and periodic retests.
Must be able to successfully complete a background check.
Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.
