What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Floater position at Tender Loving Care (Tracy)?
This position is for a floating teacher assisstant, Monday-Friday
Minimum Requirements:
12 core semester units (Must Include - Child Development, Child Family and Community & Curriculum. Each must earn 3 units or higher) in early childhood education at an accredited college or university.
6 months experience in a licensed childcare center
Responsibilities:
- General supervision and management of the children
- Providing breaks and lunch breaks for staff members
- Assisting children on their basic needs such as toileting, diapers, and helping with their lunch/snacks.
- Assisting in parent/school relationships.
- Treating each child and staff member with dignity and respect.
- Assisting & carrying out daily program responsibilities, such as circle time, centers, incident reports
- Assuming an equal share of the joint housekeeping responsibilities
- Accepting and responding to changes and recommendations and flexibility
- Maintaining punctuality and attendance
- Dressing respectfully and appropriately
- Maintaining and keeping CPR & First Aid Current
- Assisting the director as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
