Job Summary:
Reporting to the Associate Administrator, the Trauma Program Manager assists in the promotion of optimal care within Doctors Medical Center. Demonstrates professional competency in the nursing process, plans, develops, implements, and evaluates the care of critically injured patients.
Responsibilities:
- Clinical practice, record maintenance of the trauma registry and it’s Quality Improvement reports, educational programs for all personnel involved in care of the trauma patient (both prevention and all phases of care) and monitors patient’s clinical progress during hospitalization.
- Responsible for day-to-day operations of the trauma services, actively participates in the staffing, budgetary, planning, leadership and quality improvement of the department.
Requirements:
- BSN preferred
- California RN license required
- 3 years Emergency or Critical Care experience preferred
- BLS certification is required
- ACLS certification is required
- PALS certification is preferred
- ENPC within 6 months of hire
- TNCC within 6 months of hire (Instructor preferred).
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged, extensive or considerable sitting.
- Lift/position up to 25 lbs.
- Push/pull up to 25 lbs of force.
- Reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, manual dexterity and mobility, ability to move quickly.
Working Conditions:
- Regularly exposed to the risk of contagious and blood borne diseases
- Subject to varying and unpredictable situations
- Exposure to unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries, illness)
- Emergency and crisis situations
- Subject to irregular hours
- Occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries
- Occasional exposure to radiation hazards, radioactive substances, and biohazards
