Tenneco is looking for a positive and professional Customer Service Coordinator. In this role, you’ll be our customers’ first point of contact, responsible for delivering a best in class customer support experience. The Customer Service Coordinator will act as a liaison, provide product/services information, answer questions, and resolve any emerging problems that our customer accounts might face with accuracy and efficiency. They will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through processing orders, preparing general correspondence, and coordinating customer needs with other functions as required. Employee may serve as customer contact regarding such matters as pricing, scheduling, shipping, and any product delays caused by machine issues.
The qualified candidate will ensure accurate order entry for ignition products. The ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment is essential to your success at Tenneco.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Positive attitude to support customers and collaborate with operations in a high stress setting.
- Capable of providing support as requested by supervisor.
- Specific proficiency levels for each job skill required are defined in the Skills Requirement Checklist for this job title. Entering orders in the operating system accurately and completed in a timely manner.
- Scheduling to ensure orders are entered according to our lead time. Respond to customers in a professional and timely manner.
- Knowing how to prioritize tasks while also being flexible when unexpected situations occur.
- Know how navigate through the different customers’ internet portals.
- Effectively communicate the customer’s needs with the rest of the plant.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a customer service role
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills in English (multilingual skills are a plus)
- Strong ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Experience with outbound calling and internet portal activities
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers, both verbally and in writing
- Bilingual proficiency is highly desirable
EDUCATION: High School diploma required.
Associate degree or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Background should include knowledge of parts and nomenclature as well as a demonstrated ability to work with internal and external customers positively and effectively.
