This position will report within the DRiV business group. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Procure OE, competitor and Tenneco products for the purpose of new product introduction, testing and quality investigations. Track annual spend of sample part purchases.
- Create SAP Purchase Orders for Engineering and Facility needs and track receipt of goods for payment.
- Disposition purchase order line items for payment in Uni-Pay system.
- Manage a monthly company credit card budget for sample part purchases and submit expense reports monthly.
- Ship sample parts worldwide to different Tenneco groups or suppliers.
- Support Engineering's ISO quality system
Minimum Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Preferred Associate degree in discipline relevant to position or equivalent work experience
Experience: 3-5 years' experience in Sales or Purchasing of auto parts or similar commodity.
Skills:
- Skills using Microsoft Office 365, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Attention to detail to make sure parts are labeled correctly with correct part numbers.
- Ability and drive to complete projects with a deadline.
- Self-motivated with desire and ability to learn new systems specific to Tenneco.
- 3-5 Years of experience in SAP or similar system.
- Ability to lift items that are 40 lbs.
- Familiarity with automotive industry, specifically service or part procurement.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work and communicate with engineers and management.
- Capacity to manage diverse workloads from multiple sources.
