This position will report within the DRiV business group. DRiV is Tenneco’s aftermarket product solutions group, with a mission to deliver advancements that help people get the most out of every vehicle, every ride, every race, and every journey. The main objective of this position is to increase the efficiency of our procurement initiatives through fact-based tracking and analytics. This position will support all levels of our Purchasing organization with project management and data analysis. There will be both structured work expectations and ad hoc requests. The ability to manage through ambiguity and uncertainty in a fast paced and dynamic work environment—to be flexible to the needs of the global team with minimal direction —is key to the success of the Analyst and the broader team. This role will partner with suppliers, engineering, and supply chain among other cross-functional team members to ensure successful project execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Optimize data-gathering activities, such that it can be repeated with minimal effort on a periodic (e.g., weekly) basis.
- Coordinating people and resources to execute and deliver projects within a specified timeline.
- Plan and document project tasks.
- Monitor key performance indicators and trends in data sets, highlighting and managing exceptions.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business (Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Accounting, etc.).
Experience: 2-5 years of related experience in Supply Chain, Product Management, Finance, Purchasing or a similar role that depends heavily on Data Analysis. Experience in the automotive industry preferred.
Skills:
- Must be fluent in English and able to communicate clearly/effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Solid computer skills with thorough knowledge of MS Office Suite and PBI
- Demonstrated background in data management, analysis and interpretation.
- SAP, Business Warehouse, and similar systems capabilities are preferred, though training will be provided to the Analyst if needed—the key is to be able to become proficient with minimal oversight/training.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong in Microsoft Excel. Experience working with multiple data sources and data analysis tools such as Power BI.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across multiple groups within the organization.
- Global mindset and strong business acumen. Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or beat assigned targets and deadlines.
