Title: Services Assistant Team: Conference Centers
Group: Mission Support Work Location: Conference Center
General Classification: Ministry Assistant (Non-Exempt) Part-time
Immediate Supervisor: Assistant Manager (LVCC) or Services Coordinator (CSCC)
Principal Function: Provide assistance to the Services Assistant and/or Retail Coordinator in all guest and retail services in accordance with TBMB defined processes and systems. Complete all tasks in a thorough and efficient manner, assisting other conference center personnel as needed. Respond to all guests in keeping with TBMB values of valuing relationships, innovation, stewardship, and excellence.
Essential Functions: (Employee must be spiritually, physically, mentally, and emotionally able to fulfill these assignments and tasks to fill this position.)
- Conduct assigned ministry with “Christ-Like Servant Spirit”, guided by TBMB mission, priorities, strategies, and goals.
- Contribute to all phases of responsibilities to the Mission and Objectives of the organization.
- Exercise discipline to complete tasks and work alone with general supervision.
- Provide support and assistance to assigned groups and other groups within the organization, while building and maintaining positive working relationships.
- Work overtime and irregular hours, as necessary.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist Services Coordinator and/or Retail Coordinator as needed.
- Assist with all facility set-ups in event spaces (chairs, tables, air walls, audio/visual, etc.)
- Maintain working list of all equipment in services area.
- Work as front desk clerk in Conference Center or Welcome Center.
- Assist in the operation of the camp store and/or gift shop as a cashier and stocker.
- Keep track of inventory in camp store and/or gift shop.
- Perform all other duties as needed or assigned.
Physical Requirements for Individual in Position:
- Frequently bends/stoops, pushes/pulls, identifies, and distinguishes color.
- Occasionally squats, walks extended distances, reaches above shoulder, kneels, balances, lifts, and carries up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications for Applicants:
Credentials and experience:
- Education: HS diploma or G.E.D.
- Experience: One year plus related work experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of general office skills and procedures
