TDOT Operations Technician
TDOT Region 3 - District 39 Maintenance
Location: Waynesboro, TN
Compensation: $2,603.00/month
Overview
TDOT is currently accepting applications for motivated individuals to serve as TDOT Operations Technicians in the Wayne County area. TDOT Operations serve as the front line of defense in keeping our roads safe.
Responsibilities
- Operate, clean, and maintain heavy equipment including front end loaders, skid steers, excavators, backhoes, and dump trucks.
- Safely load, unload and transport heavy equipment
- Perform labor in the areas of roadway maintenance, environmental compliance, and safety.
- Conduct routine road maintenance operations such as establishing traffic control work zones, pothole patching, and removal of large debris.
- Assist with routine snow and ice removal by operating a tandem axle, tri-axle, or quad-axle dump truck with v-bottom salt spreader and snow plow during adverse weather conditions.
Qualifications
Education equivalent to a standard H.S. diploma
Pass a pre-employment drug screening
Possess and maintain a Class D driver's license valid to operate vehicles in the State of Tennessee.
Possess and maintain or obtain at their own expense and within eleven months of hire or promotion, a Class A Commercial Driver's License with an N endorsement (a 57 restriction is allowable) that is valid in the State of Tennessee.
