Essential Functions
Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the Department of Curriculum & Instruction; teaching in ELA and ESL education; Delivering online and on-ground instruction to pre-service students and graduate professionals; providing service at the University, professional and community levels; developing and maintaining partnerships with area school districts for student field experiences; and engaging in program development with faculty. Candidates will be evaluated on how their education and experiences have prepared them to successfully execute all duties of the position. Lecturer positions are non-tenure track, 3-year appointments renewable based on satisfactory performance.
Minimum Qualifications
Masters degree in education; active teaching license; full-time higher education teaching experience; evidence of successful teaching and field experience work; demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively with faculty, colleagues and administrators; ability to teach online and integrate technology into instruction; documentation of literacy coursework and professional development in literacy instruction; evidence of successful coordination with school districts for field and clinical placements.
Preferred Qualifications
Evidence of successful university teaching; active teaching license in ESL; evidence of experience and leadership in the education profession.
Compensation And Benefits
Salary Commensurate with education and experience. Full-time, nine-month, non-tenure track appointment to begin August 1, 2025. Benefits Information
The University offers a competitive benefits package. Benefits include the accumulation of one (1) sick leave day per month and thirteen (13) University holidays. Other benefits include medical and life insurance (shared cost with the university), retirement, optional 401k, and educational benefits. Deferred income and benefits over 12 months.
