Job Summary:
The Director of Core Systems and Application Support will oversee the operations and strategic management of the credit union’s Symitar Core system and third-party applications. This leadership role ensures the seamless integration, support, and troubleshooting of software applications aligned with the credit union’s strategic goals. The position involves leading a team of programmers and support analysts, overseeing product updates, and ensuring the timely implementation of new systems while maintaining close communication with department managers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the daily operations and quality control of the Symitar Core system and third-party applications.
• Manage a team, providing guidance and training to programmer and application support analysts.
• Oversee system administration, maintenance, and security, ensuring high availability in a hosted EASE environment.
• Coordinate with departments for new software implementations and system upgrades, including loan origination and account opening systems.
• Collaborate with leadership to prioritize and manage projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Stay current on technological advancements to recommend cost-efficient improvements to processes and services.
• Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and security measures for core and third-party systems.
• Provide expert-level support for resolving system issues and maintaining documentation.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 10 years of IT experience, including financial core system management, staff leadership, and project management.
• 5 years of experience with Symitar and PowerOn programming.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects while delivering results on time.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and build consensus.
