What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sewing Specialist (Seasonal) position at TentCraft?
What are we looking for:
We need talented, creative, enthusiastic and motivated people who genuinely care about what they do. The Sewing Specialist position is full time hours Monday – Friday and is currently offered as a 8 -12 week seasonal position (March- August). This seasonal position works either full time 6:30 AM- 3:30 PM with additional hours and/or weekends as needed and is also offered at Part Time if your schedule requires, just let us know what hours you can work and we will try to work it out! This position will work with the TentCraft Sewing Fabrication department, as well as cross training in other areas. The Sewing Fabrication team has a fun, confident and positive attitude. Sewing experience is preferable in this role. This position is currently temporary but could evolve into permanent work opportunities!
- This person will be responsible for assisting in the efficient sewing and finishing of a variety of products.
- Safely operate an industrial sewing machine.
- Always paying attention to detail and checking work before handing it off to next operation.
- Ability to keep on-pace with other team members.
- Accurately measure and sew products of varying sizes to customer specifications.
- Troubleshoot product issues with other members in the department.
- Follow standard work.
- Flexibility when it comes to cross training for other job functions.
- Working with and in other departments when necessary.
- Speaking up and engaging in continuous improvement.
- Additional duties as assigned.
What you need:
- Experience in industrial sewing
- Commitment to excellence when it comes to quality and detailed job specifications.
- Willingness to learn, take direction and respect others.
- Ability to keep up in a fast-paced team environment, have the ability to multi-task and reflect a positive attitude towards challenging job requirements.
- Enthusiasm and ideas are a must!
