This role will work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, UX/UI designers, business analysts, and senior management to define, build, and refine innovative digital banking solutions.
- Location Requirement**: This position requires the Product Owner to be onsite in McLean, VA, at least 3 times a week.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define the product vision and strategy for deposit-related products, aligning with the overall business objectives.
- Elicit and prioritize requirements from stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and understanding of business needs.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap for deposit products, incorporating market trends, customer feedback, and business goals.
- Prioritize features and enhancements based on business value, feasibility, and customer impact, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including development, design, and QA to deliver high-quality product increments within the agreed timelines.
- Convert business requirements into Jira stories, participate in Sprint ceremonies and act as a bridge between business and agile teams.
- Coordinate product releases and deployments, ensuring smooth transition and minimal disruption to existing operations.
- Define UAT criteria and collaborate with stakeholders to conduct UAT sessions, ensuring product readiness for deployment.
- Monitor and analyze product performance metrics, gathering insights to drive continuous improvement and optimization.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, providing regular updates on product status, roadmap, and upcoming initiatives.
- Ensure that deposit products comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a product management or product owner role, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable product features.
- Experience writing Jira stories and familiarity with MS Power Point and Excel tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Preferred but not required:
- In-depth knowledge of deposit products and services, including account opening, transaction processing, and interest calculations.
- Proficiency in Salesforce CRM, FIS (Fidelity Information Services), and FICO platforms.
- Experience in data analytics e.g., pivot tables in Excel, Snowflake
