ABOUT THE JOB
The Tepa Companies are seeking an Environmental GIS Analyst works alongside Senior Scientists, Project Managers, and Technical Experts on various activities in support of diverse environmental assessment and remediation projects. This role contributes to the development and implementation of a strategic plan for the emerging contaminant technical program, including environmental investigations related to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and other emerging contaminants. Responsibilities include conducting GIS tasks for environmental investigations and conceptual site models (CSMs), including CSM data management, data mining, and digitization within GIS, technical review, quality assurance, and quality control checks, maintaining and updating environmental databases, data analysis and programmatic data queries, and the development and execution of automated production workflows.
Job Functions :
- Manages GIS datasets for the PFAS CSM program by prioritizing project technical needs.
- Conducts research, data mining, and analysis from disparate data sources evaluate, and incorporate into environmental databases based on independent technical judgment.
- Execute PFAS environmental data management processes, including data acquisition, data tracking, data evaluation and technical analysis, quality assurance review, data gap analysis, and complex data reporting.
- Leads GIS data analysis for hydrogeologic investigations, including conceptual site models, PFAS groundwater contaminant migration pathway analysis, and drinking water receptor studies.
- Manages project web-map dashboards with data management, query, reporting, and geo-visualization tools.
- Develops technical GIS figures displaying PFAS investigation results and site characterization.
- Develops technical fact sheets, briefings, and programmatic status reports.
- Reviews PFAS investigation reports for assessing geospatial and technical data accuracy.
- Develops visual, graphical, and tabular summaries of environmental data and trend analysis.
- Develops and modify automated data and visualization production workflows.
