POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Terasaki Institute for Biomedical Innovation (TIBI) seeks a highly motivated and innovative Postdoctoral Fellow with a strong focus on in vivo research to join our dynamic interdisciplinary team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive translational biomedical projects through advanced in vivo expertise.
As a leader in regenerative medicine and tissue engineering, TIBI collaborates with clinicians, biotech companies, and pharmaceutical organizations to develop groundbreaking biomaterials and engineered tissues for translational applications. In this role, you will design and conduct in vivo experiments to evaluate novel biomaterials and engineered tissues, develop and characterize advanced biomaterials for tissue regeneration, and analyze experimental data to drive impactful discoveries. Working alongside experts in biomaterials science, engineering, and medicine, you will contribute to cutting-edge research with real-world clinical implications, preparing manuscripts for high-impact publications while advancing the field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and conduct in vivo experiments to evaluate novel biomaterials and engineered tissues
- Develop and characterize advanced biomaterials for tissue regeneration
- Analyze experimental data and prepare manuscripts for publication
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, or a related field
- Strong background in in vivo models, biomaterials, tissue engineering, and in vivo models
- Experience with animal studies and surgical techniques
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with small and large animal models
- Proficiency in histological techniques, including tissue processing, sectioning, and staining
- Expertise in immunohistochemistry and fluorescence microscopy
- Familiarity with in vivo imaging techniques (e.g., bioluminescence, fluorescence)
- Experience with surgical procedures and post-operative care
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Occasional standing and walking
