Qualified LPN candidates will have:
- Graduate of a state approved school of nursing
- A current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State
- CPR certification.
Role Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and perform treatments as ordered by physician. Document appropriately.
- Assist with direct resident care as necessary, including personal care, feeding, care of environment changes, and safety.
- Ensure recording of Intakes and Output, toileting records, turning and positioning sheets and other documentation in neighborhood.
- Complete incident reports and, initiate investigations occurring on assigned unit, and forward to RN nurse manager.
- Notify RN for assessment as needed.
- Initiate the transfer of residents to the hospital as necessary and ensure completion of necessary paperwork.
