Primary Purpose
The Logistics Manager will be the real-time nerve center for coordinating waste processing and transportation routing across Terra Nova Solutions (TNS) facilities. This role is responsible for driving the efficiency of TNS’s fleet. This role combines logistics, operations, and data analytics.

The Logistics Manager will be the real-time nerve center for coordinating waste processing and transportation routing across Terra Nova Solutions (TNS) facilities. This role is responsible for driving the efficiency of TNS’s fleet. This role combines logistics, operations, and data analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Route outbound trucking to most efficient and lowest cost routing options.
- Maximize trucking and labor utilization by collaborating with operational managers to flex capacity (labor and trucks) up or down based on inbound volumes.
- Assist in further development and deployment of existing scheduling and routing program.
- Provide input on operational improvements and work with others to implement and drive changes to process.
- Assist in establishing key metrics and indicators associated with logistics.
- Work with others to generate and analyze data reports.
- Utilize data trends/information to drive performance improvements and efficiencies.
- Other duties as assigned by leadership team.
- 3 years of experience in heavy transportation/logistics industry (e.g. waste management, freight, and/or distribution.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
- Experience with transportation management systems, performance metrics, and process improvement.
- Knowledge and experience in capacity planning; aligning resources (e.g. labor and trucks) with demand.
- Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with personnel of varying backgrounds and personality types across multiple facilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and dispatch software.
