Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join Terracon's Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Glendale Heights offices. The successful candidate will work for either office, depending on residence and preference.
About the Role
As a Project Engineer, you will manage a wide variety of site investigation and remediation projects. Experience with Wisconsin's NR 700 rule series and/or Illinois' Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST)/Site Remediation Program(SRP) will be essential to your success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engineering and consulting services for a broad array of projects and clients.
- Perform and/or lead field investigations, engineering analysis, calculations, and recommendations.
- Design and develop plans and specifications.
- Observe and inspect construction to assure compliance with plans and specifications.
- Prepare proposals and cost estimates.
- Track and evaluate project progress, budgets, and recommend changes.
- Research and resolve design and construction problems.
- Assign, review, and evaluate laboratory or field data for inclusion in reports.
- Apply sound engineering principles and communicate complex engineering issues and concepts to technical and non-technical clients and project teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 5-8 years' experience.
- Master's degree in engineering preferred.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
