Job Description :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Project Administrator (PA) to support construction and engineering projects. The ideal candidate will assist in coordinating activities, managing documentation, and facilitating communication between stakeholders. This role is integral to ensuring projects align with FDOT standards and are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities :
Assist project managers and engineers in coordinating project activities, schedules, and deliverables.
Manage and organize project documentation, including RFIs, contracts, permits, and reports.
Support compliance with FDOT and local municipal standards, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
Maintain project tracking systems to monitor progress, schedules, and budgets.
Facilitate communication between municipalities, utility providers, contractors, and internal teams.
Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and status reports for stakeholders.
Assist in procurement, vendor coordination, and material tracking for project needs.
Support the development of project presentations, proposals, and technical documentation.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, particularly in FDOT or state transportation projects.
Familiarity with FDOT standards, specifications, and procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools.
Experience with CADD software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation is a plus.
Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and adapt to fast-paced project environments.
Preferred Skills :
Experience with FDOT documentation processes, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
Familiarity with transportation engineering and roadway design projects.
Additional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CTQP are advantageous.
