Summary
As a Receiver at TESCO, Inc., you will be an integral part of our warehouse operations, ensuring the accurate receipt and processing of incoming goods. This role is vital in maintaining our high standards of inventory management and contributes significantly to our overall efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage stock.
- Operate RF scanners to record product information efficiently.
- Ensure proper storage of received items within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist in inventory counts and audits as required.
- Use pallet jacks to move heavy items safely throughout the warehouse.
- Support order picking processes by preparing items for distribution.
- Stock shelves and ensure products are properly labeled and organized.
- Assist customers in placing orders and retrieving requested products.
- Participate in the production of food, including grab-and-go salads, cups, and sandwiches.
- Lift and carry merchandise up to 40 pounds.
- Deliver food to micro markets and stock shelves as needed.
- Set up and maintain coffee stations to ensure availability of fresh products.
Qualifications
- Strong basic math skills for accurate inventory management.
- Experience with warehouse management systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with RF scanners and pallet jacks is essential.
- Knowledge of distribution center operations is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or receiving role is beneficial but not mandatory.
- E-commerce experience is advantageous for understanding product flow.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
- Excellent organizational and teamwork skills.
