Job Summary: Provide one-on-one training and task oversight to adults with disabilities as they perform assembly, shredding, or bulk mail related tasks in compliance with specifications and timelines of job contracts. Assist in assuring work is performed to contract and delivered on promised timelines.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

Participant Training & Quality Assurance

  • Train participants to complete tasks as required by customer contracts while incorporating quality assurance and time study considerations.
  • Be aware of participant’s goals and provide the necessary training to assist them in reaching their goals.
  • Serve as an advocate for all participants.
  • Ensure that all interactions with participants are focused toward promotion of their independence.
  • Monitor quality of work being performed and identify quality error trends.
  • Working with Facilities & Production Manager, identify and implement solutions to correct any quality error trends.
  • Assure performance of rework and work with the Facilities & Production Manager to alleviate future quality concerns.
  • * Provide required training in one-on-one setting or work with Facilities & Production Manager or participant’s Developmental Specialist (DS) to obtain necessary training.
  • Along with DS facilitates the development and implementation of schedules – ensures participants receive the services developed within their program plans at the time and duration scheduled.
  • Review and record relevant information to assess accurate billing of services.
  • Complete recordkeeping for participants in accordance with rules, agreements, corporate policies and procedures, and assess accurate billing of services.
  • Develops, maintains, monitors and reviews paperwork, participant’s plan of service, conducts quality assurance reviews, and improvement planning to assure compliance and progress.
  • Ensures that necessary file documents and daily data is kept up to date and are kept in accordance with regulations and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Track and report all hours worked and materials required on contracts to help assure pricing is competitive.
  • Responsible for writing behavior logs, case notes, accident/incident reports, daily data, assessments, and checklists accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Responsible for submitting client payroll and billing.
  • Record information reflecting client performance against expectations and as required supporting piecework-based compensation.

Administrative & Community:

  • Establish and maintain strong, professional working relationships with all customers, with focus on providing excellent customer service.
  • Build customer base for production services.
  • Comply with all agency policies, procedures, and regulations, including health and safety guidelines.
  • Serve as point of entry for work requests, including contract specifications and related timelines.
  • Serve as contract and production coordinator for all work that comes into Tesh’s Vocational Center.

Equipment & Driving:

  • Perform daily maintenance on tools and equipment as required or when necessary.
  • Assure equipment is handled properly by participants to ensure longevity of equipment, as well as the health and well-being of the participants.
  • Pick up and deliver jobs for the Vocational Center including but not limited to, bins of paper to be shredded, small part assembly jobs and bulk mailing in Kootenai County and Spokane areas primarily.
  • Drive a box truck, minivans, and sedans as needed.
  • May provide pick up for janitorial department employees.

Corporate Culture/Satisfaction:

  • Attend scheduled employee meetings and participant meetings, when requested.
  • Enforce administrative policies and procedures governing participant rights, independence, and responsibilities.
  • All staff are expected to make a positive and effective contribution to TESH through their behavior and work.
  • Participates in other duties as requested.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint), and social media.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Completion of Criminal History and Background Check including clearance, as required by IDAPA code.
  • Pass Pre-employment drug test.
  • First Aid and CPR certification is required to maintain employment in this position.
  • Current driver's license, current insurance, and will be required to drive Tesh vehicles.
  • Must have ability to stand or walk on concrete for 3-5 hours daily.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday.
  • Hours vary based on business need but will generally be 8:30am – 4:30am with some earlier mornings or later afternoons to accommodate training.
  • * 20-40 hours per week (depending on assignment).

Job Types: Full-time or Part-Time

Job Shift: Day

Pay: $15.00 per hour depending on experience

Benefits:

  • Employees working an average of 25 hours/week for three months, will be eligible for pro-rated health care benefits including medical, dental, & vision. If working 36 hours/week or more, eligible for full benefits.
  • Paid holiday, sick, and vacation also pro-rated.
