Tesla is currently seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician that will support site facilities operations at Gigafactory New York in Buffalo. Selected candidate will be responsible for providing operations and maintenance support to Facilities equipment and building and grounds.
- Champion and reinforce a safety culture in all aspects of the work
- Responsible for operating and maintaining the following systems that include but are not limited to: HVAC, Electrical systems, Instrumentation & Controls, Wastewater treatment & Bulk chemical and gas distribution
- Coordinate and supervise vendors or contractors in performing repairs, maintenance or upgrades of electrical equipment and systems
- Coordinate and perform hands-on installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs (including preventive maintenance) as needed
- Coordinate and maintain spares and consumables for various systems
- Respond promptly to calls/issues in the building from Tesla Security, Workplace, or Janitorial
- Identify and implement energy and utility conservation measures
- Vocational/Trade Certification and/or relevant military experience is preferred
- Knowledge of safe work practices that includes OSHA & Emergency Response Training, fall protection, 70E and LOTO procedures
- Detail-oriented, positive attitude, resourceful and able to manage shifting priorities.
- Able to lift up to up to 60 lbs., and work at elevations up to 50 ft
- Display positive attitude and practice strong work ethics that reflects the mission, philosophy and goals of Tesla
- Practice and encourage safe work practices in all aspects of your job
- Come to work everyday, on-time and "ready to work"

- Maintenance Support I - $18.00 - $28.00/hour
- Maintenance Support II - $22.00 - $33.00/hour
- Maintenance Support III - $26.00 - $39.00/hour
- Maintenance Support IV - $30.00 - $45.00/hour
- Lead Maintenance Support - $35.00 - $53.00/hour
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
