The Body in White Staff Process Engineer will lead engineers and technicians in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. They will build a strong and capable team that can drive continuous improvement, optimization, and 5S projects across the manufacturing line by focusing on automated, assisted, and manual processes. The successful candidate is a self-starter, has strong leadership capabilities, and is able to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time. This role requires working closely with production leaders, associates, materials, and other departments in order to drive projects to success.
The Engineer is responsible for developing and executing standardization of manufacturing quality enablers and for performing process engineering activities, including equipment design, simultaneous engineering, project management, plant launch support, continuous process improvement and other product/process assurance planning activities.

Responsibilities
- Lead and prioritize team efforts on process improvement projects, including OEE, safety, and cost reduction
- Sustain and redesign mechanical portions of the body center, including fixtures and tooling
- Analyze and optimize production processes to ensure safety, yield, capacity, and cost-effectiveness
- Manage supporting activities like 5S, Lean manufacturing, material handling improvements, and ergonomic compliance
- Collaborate cross-functionally to define, qualify, and track new or modified processes, and support new model launches
- Oversee project scope, budget, and vendor coordination for new equipment installations
- Assist in training supervisors and operators and influence design engineers with recommendations to enhance manufacturability
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent certification or proven equivalent experience
- Process engineering skills including process development/improvement, troubleshooting, data analysis, constraint analysis, and flow optimization
- Strong mechanical intuition with hands-on experience in modifying jigs, fixtures, and coordinating equipment installations; CNC or manual machining experience is beneficial
- Proficient in lean manufacturing methodologies and experienced with AUTOCAD or other factory layout tools
- Effective communication and teamwork skills with the ability to present simple solutions to complex problems and influence key change directives
- Strong problem-solving skills with data collection and analysis experience, and the ability to quickly learn and teach systems

$76,000 - $180,000/annual salary cash and stock awards benefits
