They must be willing to work on all aspects of the design of humanoid robots, from ground-up, blue sky concepts down to the tiniest production detail.
Finally, the candidate should have a naturally curious, problem-solving mindset and be willing to resolve complex, technical issues as well as challenge industry norms and processes in the pursuit of creating better end products for both users and society as a whole.
Responsibilities
- Generate both concept and production ideas for all aspects of the physical design of humanoid robots in both 2D and 3D
- Compete with and work alongside fellow designers on multiple simultaneous design programs. This could be anything from a small, individual component to a full vision for future products
- Work extremely closely with both 3D modelers and engineers to develop these proposals through production gateways leading to both low and high volume manufacturing
- Proactively problem solve issues that arise during typical product development cycles and resolving challenges before they reach executive level
- Work closely with physical model makers to prototype ideas into physical models
- Be comfortable presenting both their ideas and that of the team to executive level within the company
