We are seeking a motivated and energetic Assistant Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead the Facilities Maintenance team in Austin, TX. This individual will be playing a critical role developing and supporting a team. That team will manage the facilities maintenance systems and facilities utilities areas.
- Adhere to and enforce Health and Safety regulation, fire prevention programs and train personnel as required
- Assist and support, develop and implement plans, supervising, and coordinating the maintenance of site utilities and department assets at GigaFactory Texas
- Assist in the Supervision, guidance, and engagement of a highly skilled technician staff executing preventative and corrective maintenance, work order processing, spare part control, and general troubleshooting of water systems (purification and treatment), mechanical systems (AHUs, compressed air, exhaust, chilled water), chemical systems (refinement, distribution), and electrical systems (transformers, distribution)
- Assist and provide input on the assignment and tracking of tasks through the various databases
- Provide training, mentoring, performance improvement and career development to personnel
- Train and lead others to perform preventive maintenance functions maintaining standards and minimize the services of outside contractors
- Ensure an adequate supply of products is on hand for daily requirements and emergency maintenance situations
- Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives
- Follow and promote policy and procedure regarding the performance and behavior of Facilities personnel
- Acts as advisor to subordinates to meet schedules, resolve technical problems, and acts as incident commander during facility excursions; Manage on-shift escalations
- Identifies complex problems and reviews related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
- Verify completion of task execution (PM, SOP, PTP, etc.)
- Communicates detailed plans for work assignments and is first point of contact for issues that arise on the shift
- Reviews activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement
- Assists with the maintenance of the calendar of contracted services; utilizing budget assumptions and scheduling contractors accordingly or as needed
- Assist with the managing of contractor relationships; providing input and feedback during negotiations of terms of service and monitoring renewal dates and clauses
- Assist with the project management of all related building changes and expansions, including any modifications/improvements to building systems
- Participate in budget preparation and cost analysis
- Actively participates in competitive shopping for price quotes as a measure of cost containment
- Assists with allocating the appropriate resources required to implement the department strategic plan
- BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience considered
- 8 years of related experience supporting semiconductor, solar, or battery manufacturing facilities
- Technical training in plant engineering or maintenance, or comparable professional experience
- Potential to work with materials which contain hazardous chemicals
- Self-directed, self-motivated and self-managing with ability to simultaneously prioritize tactical and strategic objectives
- High tolerance of change
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Salary : $110,000 - $139,000
