What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Construction Superintendent position at Tesla?
The Senior Construction Superintendent will work closely with members of the Sales & Service Infrastructure project management, design, and workplace departments from design review through construction to new site openings. The Construction Superintendent will oversee on-site construction performed by General Contractors on projects across their region. Responsibilities include reviewing drawings for constructability, tracking project schedules, coordinating vendor tool installations, resolving construction issues, and performing inspections to ensure compliance with plans and specifications. Superintendent will be responsible for 20 concurrent projects with 80% travel.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise GC's on-site construction activities for 20 concurrent projects under construction across region
- Work with General Contractors to develop execution plans / schedules. Ensure frequent communication with key project individuals, including job site personnel and Project Manager
- Drive project schedules and solve technical construction problems in the field
- Maintain a safe, secure and healthy work environment by following and enforcing the applicable state and OSHA regulations
- Schedule and lead quality control and site safety inspections. Review project plans and specifications for constructability
- Work with tool installers to facilitate successful project completion. Track and receive material deliveries and resolve delivery discrepancies
- Direct work in field, track changes, etc. both individually and leading or participating in a larger team
- Develop templates and standards for future phases / projects. Interact with third party inspection personnel and City / State / County inspectors

104,000 - $156,000 / annual salary cash and stock awards benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
