FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Department of English at Bronx Community College is seeking to hire Adjunct Lecturer, Adjunct Assistant Professor, Adjunct Associate Professor and Adjunct Professor levels primarily to teach ESL courses with a focus on academic writing in the fall 2024 semester. Preference will be given to applicants who have strong credentials and teaching experience in both TESOL and Academic Literacy. The ability to teach credit bearing first-year writing courses in a classroom setting that serves both native and non-native English speakers would be an asset.
Performs teaching in area(s) of expertise; please note that most opportunities will be for in-person teaching but background in teaching in online modalities is also expected.

Qualifications
For Adjunct Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor:
An earned doctorate in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Language and Literacy, English, Composition and Rhetoric, or a related field is required, as is the ability to teach successfully in various instructional modalities.
For Adjunct Lecturer
Masters degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Language and Literacy, English, Composition and Rhetoric, or a related field is required, as is the ability to teach successfully in various instructional modalities.
Compensation
Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications:
Adjunct Lecturer: $91.67 - $98.40 per hour
Adjunct Assistant Professor: $100.00 - $106.41 per hour
Adjunct Associate Professor: $108.33 - $118.45 per hour
Adjunct Professor: $112.50 - $130.49 per hour
