NY Enrichment Group is seeking several ESL Teachers to lead direct in-person classes for our 55 and over senior center programs. This is a beginner class and the instructor will teach the seniors to use basic sentences and simple vocabulary in order to have the participants carry on a discussion in English. Ideal candidate will develop their own lesson plans and materials and must enjoy working with communities. This role will further support FSG”s continuing efforts to BUILD STRONGER COMMUNITIES .

Description
- Develop an easy and simple curriculum that is engaging and includes reading, writing, speaking and role playing.
- Must be able to adapt the lesson plans to the group”s abilities and needs.
- Ensure that students are learning and growing through project based assignments and quizzes.
- Must be a leader in the classroom and possess full control.
- Must constantly encourage students to succeed and maintain a good class attendance.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
- Bachelor”s degree required.
- Master”s degree preferred
- Must have teaching experience with adults in ESOL field.
- Open to recent graduates from M.A. TESOL programs.
