The Lead Teacher role was created to facilitate communication in the schools among General and EL Educators as well as administrators. The Lead also serves as a liaison to the National Team.

The Campus: Campus: Hope Community PCS - Tolson is a public charter school in Washington, D.C. that was founded in 2006 and recently joined the PLA network in 2022. We serve about 250 scholars from PK - 8th grade with a school population that is reflective of the strength and diversity of the community in which we are privileged to serve. Key Deliverables
- Maintains caseload list/assignment organization
- Establishes and monitors caseload scheduling/organization
- Attend and support facilitation of PD and PLC meetings/workshops
- Attend ILP meetings to ensure compliance
- Develops and maintains positive relationships with classroom teachers, administrators, staff, and parents/guardians
- Provides differentiated coaching support through co-teaching methods and modeling to provide effective feedback
- Assists in the coordination of testing programs
- Valid EL State Teacher License
- A passion for working with students and families in under-served communities
- Bachelor”s degree or higher from an accredited college or university; with appropriate endorsements, if applicable
- Effective pedagogical skills driven by standards and data-driven assessment
- Experience tracking and using data to drive instruction
