Job Description

Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join one of our long-term clients' team at (1) of their properties in Brooklyn Park, MN (55443). The ideal candidate will have 2 years' experience in residential maintenance (affordable housing experience required), have experience with unit turns, have knowledge of basic maintenance, be self-motivated, be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficient. This role does require experience with boilers (boilers license is preferred). This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

This role will be working with (1) building, built in 1969, 192 market / affordable housing units and 3 stories.

Salary : $26-$30 / hour DOQ - This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

Schedule : Monday - Friday 830am - 5pm. On-call is optional, but they would like this person to also be able to participate in the rotation upon conversion.

Job Duties and Responsibilities :

Provide residents with exceptional customer service and foster good resident relations

Be a valuable part of an effective on-site team

Know and adhere to all standards of quality

Maintain daily service request system and complete service requests

Perform follow up calls on service requests

Maintain preventive maintenance schedule and complete preventive maintenance

Maintain physical appearance of the community

Work after-hours emergency on-call rotation, as scheduled

Perform apartment turnover duties

Repair and replace appliances

Maintain maintenance inventory

Maintain safe and organized maintenance shop, storage and mechanical rooms

Maintain lock out / tag out station of keys

Maintain apartment history cards, lighting and snow logs

Work with contractors on snow removal, lawn care, etc

Monitor HVAC equipment

Shovel / sweep using broom, shovel snow

Qualifications and Experience :

2 years' experience in residential maintenance - affordable housing experience required.

Boilers experience is required - certification / license is highly preferred.

Experience in unit turns.

Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation as this role will eventually be participating upon conversion.

Be able to pass a Kari Koskinen background check.
