About The Role
What you’ll be doing
- Setting up and maintaining large quantities of human primary cell cultures
- Running phenotypic and target-based drug screens using those cell cultures
- Implementing published experimental methods to expand our capabilities
- Mentoring one or two interns/co-ops who will support you and the team in lab
- 2 years of experience in an academic biology wet lab; or 1 year of experience in a biotech industry wet lab
- Mastery of adherent mammalian cell culture
- Prior success in establishing a new method in a lab, starting from reading the Materials & Methods section of a paper
- Preferred but not mandatory:
- Experience with 3D cell culture in Matrigel
- Mastery of at least one of the following techniques: flow cytometry, lentivirus preparation & usage, Western blots, or qPCR
- Experience with an organizational system for hundreds of compounds or cell lines
